Our melons grow on the farmland between Acate and Niscemi, in the heart of southern Sicily, in a privileged Mediterranean microclimate characterized by long summers, marked temperature variations between day and night, and mineral-rich clay soils. These exceptional natural conditions are the true basis of the quality that distinguishes Scuzzarello melons on national and international markets.
Cultivation follows natural rhythms: no forcing, no premature ripening. Each melon reaches optimal ripeness in the field before harvest, guaranteeing the aromatic profile and authentic sweetness that large-scale retail and international distribution buyers appreciate and seek.

Characteristics and organoleptic qualities
Scuzzarello melons are selected to ensure consistent standards of size, Brix level, and visual quality that meet the most demanding requirements of large-scale retail trade and international markets.
- Variety: Netted and smooth, in the types most requested by the European market
- Brix Level: High sugar content, typically between 12° and 15° Brix for intense, persistent sweetness
- Caliber: Rigorous selection for uniformity of size according to the buyer's specifications
- Aromas: Rich and persistent olfactory profile, typical of natural ripening in the open field
- Pulp: Firm, intense orange in colour, with a high water and nutritional content
- External appearance: Intact, uniform, defect-free skin — suitable for large-scale distribution
Summer season
Harvest is concentrated in the months of June, July, and August. Production is strictly seasonal: no forced greenhouse covering, only natural ripening in the open field. Availability is limited and planned.
Custom packaging
The melons are packaged in boxes of 5–6 pieces or in customized packaging according to customer specifications. Each package includes complete traceability information and the production batch.
